If you are interested in joining the computational linguistics group in Uppsala as a post-doctoral researcher, PhD student or master's student, please check out the information below. Additional questions can be sent to Joakim Nivre regarding post-docs and PhD students and to Mats Dahllöf regarding master's students.
Positions for post-doctoral researchers are announced at irregular intervals and normally require that applicants have received their PhD before the deadline for applications. Grants for post-doctoral research in Sweden can also be obtained from the Swedish Research Council. Applications can be submitted twice a year (normally in February and September).
PhD students in computational linguistics are admitted once a year. The deadline for applications is normally in late September, but check the web pages of the Department of Linguistics and Philology for details. You are advised to contact a potential supervisor in the department first to discuss possible thesis projects.
We are starting a new two-year master's program in language technology in the fall of 2010. You can find more information about the program and the admission procedure here.
Unfortunately, we do not have any resources for admitting interns unless they are completely self-financed.
