Course Content: The course aims to provide an introduction to theories on the social and psychological functions of language. Social and geographical variation of language. Language and thought. Production, perception and acquisition of language.
Instruction: Lectures and exercises
Examination: Active participation in group discussions, completed written assignment and written examination
